Once upon a time in my life time, neighbors were friendly and if one needed a cup of sugar or an onion or an egg, they were welcome and a chat/laughter would result. Each Christmas I give a loaf of cake to my neighbors, and one or two neighbors provide a gift to me. Otherwise, we seldom see one another.

Times have changed for the worse.

Fantastic! That is true, it is touching and it is declaring Jesus and Christianity. It’s forgotten now, never taught as it was up to 50 years ago, that this nation is a nation under God. He has made this nation profound simply because the foundation was ‘layered’ liberally with the influence of scripture.

The choice we make here determines whether it’s heaven or hell when we pass through this land. I have decided to follow Jesus, and I will be in heaven when the roll is called up yonder.

The Redwines (originally, Rheuweil) came from Prussia in the 1700′s. They were Jews. Attempting to integrate into mainstream society of the day, they were met with prejudice and ostracized to the point of turning their backs on their faith and converting to Protestantism. Thus, the Redwines became Methodists and were warmly accepted into the culture of early America.

I have learned a great deal on Ancestry.com. They were highly revered and well-bred in their native Prussia, served under Fredrick the Great and were awarded a castle on the Rhine for their courage and valor. I tracked the line all the way back to the 1500′s. Very interesting!

It is a shame that if there were no unions, the ‘employer’ pays little and fires at will.., but while the union can get a person more pay and keep them from being fired, too many people do poor work and the ‘employer’ many times goes out of business due to the lawless practices of the union. Or, in the government’s position, go broke when the union is in charge of all the government workers. I, too, was brow beat by the union. It was a scary experience.

It is always exciting to read an event of God’s healing. In my experience, most Christians have such a testimony to share. My husband was healed of a hernia that had been like a thorn in the flesh for years. One day it was there and the next entirely gone forever, after our pastor prayed for him. Understand it? I don’t think so.., our loved ones die young of cancer and other young Christians suffer with various other afflictions. The Lord’s grace is sufficient regardless of special healing or special grace to live with a painful condition, we know He is with us.

Dr Colleen Steinke was an amazing woman to know! I had the pleasure to be taught under her for many years, what an honor. She truly had your best interest in heart at all times, and she was always there for you no matter what or what time you needed her. Her endless sacrificing of her time and abundance of love she showed is a testimony of the grace of God in her life. She had great grace.
She was so loved by myself and I am sure others around her that had the pleasure to have had their lives touched by her. When she prayed for you, you knew it was the hand of God upon you and not Dr. Colleen.

I feel she is a giant in the kingdom Of God and she is rejoicing with all those giants that went before her. May God continue to be praised through all the work she did on this earth for many years to come. May her God-given grace continue on this earth in the lives she has touched and all those hearts that were mended through Jesus Christ.

I love you Dr Colleen and miss you.
