The Muslim world and many Americans are advocates of establishing a new court in the United States – Sharia. Sharia is believed by Muslims to be the sacred law of God (Allah). It is based on revelations from the Qur’an, and sayings and examples by their prophet, Muhammad (570 – 632 AD). Without going into a detailed study of Muslim/Islamic beliefs, or the life and teachings of its prophetic leader, I wish to concentrate on Sharia, the law that all Muslims are obliged to follow.
Sharia law controls both civil and criminal justice, as well as regulating individual conduct, both personal and moral. They enforce a custom-based body of law based on the Quran and the religion of Islam. Because, by definition, Muslim states are theocracies, religious texts are law, the latter distinguished by Islam and Muslims in their application, as Sharia or Sharia law.
This “law” is used in all Muslim countries and “communities”. I say “communities” because in some nations Sharia “courts” are allowed to dominate the Muslim citizens and/or inhabitants who live there. England has approved five Islamic law courts. The British government has quietly sanctioned that their rulings are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through the county courts or High Court. Previously, the rulings were not binding and depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims. Now they are required to comply fully.
Spain also has “gone Sharia” along with other European countries like Germany & France. In some areas of France, to distribute Bibles and/or Christian tracts is to invoke mob violence against the “perpetrators” – with no interference by the French police. Just this past week, a law was passed in France that prohibits a woman from wearing in public a Bikini or other sexually-explicit swimwear – even men are now required to wear shirts so as not to show their chests. This is in line with Sharia requirements of morals and conduct.
Even our neighbor, Canada, for years has been silently condoning the application of Sharia law among Canada’s Muslim immigrants by sending multiple welfare checks to polygamous Muslim men who raise multiple families in Canada.

There are only about 9 million Muslims now living in the United States (that compares to 47 million Hispanic or Latino Americans). But the Muslim population is growing at 6 times the national rate. And in areas with large Muslim communities, Sharia is already being felt. In Minnesota, for example, Sharia’s prohibition against alcohol led the government agency managing the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to propose different color top lights for taxis driven by Muslim drivers so that they can refuse passengers who land with (duty-free) alcohol.
The problem with permitting Sharia enforcement in the United States is that it directly violates the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution for everyone; male, female and children. Yet, those areas of high Muslim population are disregarding the Constitution and permitting Muslim “law” to reign.
I don’t have space now to detail all the harsh requirements of Sharia, especially in its regard to women and children. You have seen and heard on the news some of the archaic and inhuman disregard for equality in the gender of people. The expected stoning death of the Islamic woman, and the “marriage” by older men of girls as young as 6 years old, to be used as “sex toys” (I’m being generous in the description here!), are only two examples. Like in “Great” Britain, the more liberties of this kind that are allowed to be merged into our daily lives, eventually all of us – Christian, Jew, Buddhist, atheist – will be forced to “honor” those rules. And more and more will be demanded until we will be commanded to throw out our Constitutional guarantees and kneel to Allah and the Sharia. Heaven help us if we don’t open our eyes and take action – NOW!
As said before, a number of our politicians in Congress as well as in some of our state houses don’t see any problem in allowing Sharia to take a foothold in the Nation. Well, we need to get rid of them! You can Google or Bing it to find out who they are.
We only have to learn from Nazi Germany in the last century that to allow variations or violation of the Constitution, ever so slightly, will undermine our Nation.
Mine is not an idle commentary, it is a dire warning of what to expect if we let it happen.
